Merry Christmas

We had some snow here in Slovenia last week, just enough for skiing and some winter pleasures. It was lovely. But the snow reminded me of some great time with great people I spent in Whistler, Canada.
And here's a note to self: write to Santa, he might help you go there again :))

But being "stuck" in Ljubljana isn't that bad afterall... It's beatiful as always at this time of the year.

All day bag

Že dolgo časa sem si želela zašiti takšno torbico. In ko sem končno imela nekaj prostih dni, sem si vzela čas tudi za tole... Za vzorec sem vzela model Lotte Jansdotter, ki jo občudujem. v skandinavskem slogu oblikuje preproste, a čudovite zadevice iz tekstila, potiske - tudi na skodelice, krožnike, zidove...
Torbica je super za čez dan in jo preizkušam vsak dan. Pravzaprav je trenutno moja najljubša! Z majhnimi izboljšavami bodo naslednje sploh top.

I really wanted to sew a bag like this for a long time. And when I got a couple a days off, it was just the perfect time for a project like this. I took Lotta Jansdotter's all-day-tote as a model. I just love Lotta, she designs such simple, yet so beautiful stuff - from textile to plates, china and other in Scandinavian way.
Well, this bag is great for all things needed to be done during the day. In fact, it's my favourite at the moment! And with little inprovements it will be top!

Incredible India

I haven't been posting much lately. It was summer, it was hot, a lot was going on… And then I went to a very special trip that will stay in my heart forever.

India.

Started in Delhi, flew to Leh in Ladakh, then to Kashmir and finished in Rishikesh.

The always beautiful Taj Mahal...

Ladakh is incredible. A very high altitude – Leh is at approx. 3,500 meter above sea level – takes your breath away even more. Many Buddhist monasteries, views of the Himalayas and very kind people change the way you see the world.

Continued to Kashmir, the place with beautiful mountains and famous for its scarves.

Silk skirt

Najprej je bil čudovit kos svile s podpisom Armani, stkan, da postane krilo... In je.

First there was this wanderful piece of Armani silk garment, that was just screaming to become a skirt...

Najprej krojenje...First ther's some serious tailoring...

... bucke so cel žur......

 ... pins are like rock&roll...

... pa veliko šivanja na roke...... a lot of handwork...

...ooooo, tudi mašinca zaprede, nič bat!... and the machine finds its purpose!

Po nekaj živčakih, je ONA pripravljena na veliki beli svet.

Park Tabor

V soboto smo se imeli luštno v parku Tabor v Ljubljani. Lepo je spoznati ljudi, ki ravno tako radi nekaj počno in imajo veeeeliko idej ter še več volje, da stvari naredijo. Seveda pa je lepo dobiti tudi feedback obiskovalcev. Hvala vsem, ki ste na vročo soboto prišli v prijetno senco pod drevesi na Taboru.

Obiskala me je tudi Fuchsia&Celeste.

Ko ti ostane malo blaga...

... se lahko tudi malo poigraš s kakšnim novim izdelkom. Konopljenega žakarda je bilo ravno toliko, da je nastala tale nakupovalka.

Simply loving it!

Well, it's really great when you chose to follow your heart, do things you like, share them with people you care about, but still... one needs a solid cup of  'down-to-earth'.

True colours

Kar seješ...

... to žanješ, pravijo. In to dobesedno. Zato ni lepšega kot zasaditi, prijeti zemljo, opazovati, kako vzklijejo semena in čebulice iz zemlje, kako poganjajo, kako močne so in kakšne borke.

Tile čiliji so prišli z različnih koncev sveta - Tajske, Indonezije, Sicilije, Peruja. Mogoče poženejo še dolenjske korenine :)
